The Garmin Forerunner 55 is a reliable and easy-to-use GPS running smartwatch that will enhance your running experience.

Pros

  • Easy-to-use GPS tracking for runs
  • Offers suggested workouts and Garmin Coach training plans
  • Long battery life

Cons

  • May be too focused on running for those seeking a versatile fitness watch.
  • Limited smart features compared to higher-end models

We recently used the Garmin Forerunner 55 and were impressed by its user-friendly interface and simplicity. With just a press of a button, we could start tracking our runs, monitoring our heart rate, speed, and distance right from our wrist. It was also great to see all the useful data it provided on our daily activities, like steps, calories, sleep, and more.

What stood out to us was the Garmin Coach feature, offering on-screen guidance and free training plans based on our goals and fitness level. We found it helpful to have suggested workouts tailored to our needs, as it took the guesswork out of our training sessions. The PacePro feature also proved useful, giving us GPS-based pace guidance for various courses or distances.

However, the Garmin Forerunner 55 may not be the best choice for those seeking a more comprehensive smartwatch experience, as its focus is primarily on running and the smart features are limited. It also lacks built-in music storage, which could be a dealbreaker for some.

Overall, the Garmin Forerunner 55 is an excellent choice for runners looking to improve their performance while enjoying user-friendly and helpful running data. If your primary focus is running, this watch is worth considering.

Accurate and fast GPS connectivity is essential for tracking your routes and measuring your performance. Some watches may also offer additional features like GLONASS and Galileo support, enhancing their tracking capabilities in challenging environments.

Pay close attention to the different types of sensors in the watches. These sensors can measure various fitness metrics such as heart rate, altitude, temperature, and more. If you’re focused on improving your workout performance, you’ll want a watch with precise and responsive sensors.
